anyone who has had it?  how many treatments did it take?  how much did it cost?  how much did it hurt?  would it be better to see if my doc would prescribe vaniqua?  i've lost 60 lbs but these hairs aren't leaving it looks like.  i know i have at least 60 more to go but it would really help my confidence if i did not have a whiskery chin when i went back to work this fall!

The price greatly varies from city to city, town to town for laser.  It feels a bit like a rubber band is snapping at you.  The area will be red for about a day, but to me it's worth it.  Also, you will smell like burnt hair... because that's pretty much what is happening at the root.  I feel that it's worth the price and the pain.  It's really not that bad. Many doctors have told me Vaniqua isn't worth the side effects... but check with yours.

Kimberly, I have been undergoing laser treatments for a year now and have had 12 full face treatments...  The price definately varies city to city but the clinic I go to takes payments (since nobody knows exactly how many treatments it's going to take, varies person to person.  I spent about 1200.00 last year on laser and electrolosis, but I had a lot of hair)...   I have also been having electolosis done since some of my hairs are gray and laser doesn't touch those.  It does hurt (more than a rubberband snap to me, but I get some numbing cream and it helps some), you will smell burning hair for a little bit and be red where you had treatment...  But all in all it is definately worth the money to me, I don't feel ashamed to go out without makeup and to me that's worth all the money in the world!  I tried Vaniqua and it didn't work for me, I had PCOS 39 years before anything was available to me other than pills to control the PCOS.   Best wishes to you,

The center I go to gives us "LMX" but it doesn't numb very well.  I don't know about other people but when I have my treatments it hurts - but only for a little while and it's so worth it.  I have a high tolerance for pain, but these ladies say it doesn't hurt... hmmm...  I'm having my whole face and neck done (basically full face beard area) and my hair was thick when I started.  Now I don't have to shave or wear makeup if I don't want to... I used to shave every day (at least once) and I wore heavy makeup.  I've been having treatments for about a year.  If you find any numbing cream that works please PM me...  I'm very interested!!!

Have a great week!

When I went in for Laser a couple of years ago, it cost $170 for upper lip and chin area. This is the "goat-tee" area.  I had 3 treatments and it cut down a lot on the hair, but I had to stop due to financial problems. At the time they told me it would take anywhere from 5-8 treatments to get it all. I tried Vaniqa and it felt like my skin was burning and it got very pimply. I couldn't tolerate it.

I have been having laser hair removal treatments on my face since Jan and I couldn't recommend it more.  I LOVE my results!  I used to spend an hour plucking every night and now nothing for weeks at a time.  The cost is prohibitive for many (I spend $220/treatment for a top-of-the-line practitioner and have had 5 treatments thus far) but it is sooooo worth it.  I honestly cannot say enough about it.  I'm in maintenance phase right now and will only go back for occasional touch ups once or twice a year. I'd add that it really doesn't hurt much and is pretty quick (5-10 mins tops for my whole face).  I've had facials that hurt a heck of a lot more. Caeli

How would I look up a place to have it done? What is it called? Also, some of the hairs are dark and some are not. Which treatment would be best for me?
