im starting to freak!
As a person that has a cousin as a nurse and a few friends that were nurses: they see so much that they usually don't remember who/what/when/where.
One time I was about to be wheeled in for surgery, looked up to see a guy that I had gone to school with for years! Right before being knocked out I felt my gown being pulled up and then I was out. To this day when I see him out and about, I think about him seeing my body!! well, at least back then I was slim
As a nurse, I'll tell you what the others did...we see soooo many bodies, we don't remember who is who and what is what. I've seen women with true honest to goodness beards and I've seen all kinds of other things. I couldn't tell you who those people were.
As a patient, I understand where you're coming from. I waxed, shaved ,plucked, and exfoliated the night before surgery. I also had a pedicure (no scaly feet!!) and took extra care to make sure every nook and cranny was clean and odorless.

First of all, I feel your pain. There is no amount of 'they've seen so many bodies, you are just a #, 'blah, blah blah that one can say to ease your (&mine)mind. I say that with high respect to those who are in the medical profession and responded to you. But, let's get real, how many people see us naked? So, to ease your mind, I'd use some self tanner on your upper thigh area, (I did this) or just shave, use nair etc. Try not to think about that aspect of it, God knows I tried not to think about it.
To treat the PCOS, are you on any antiandrogen? For the hair prob? I am, it is Spironolactone and it does help.
I never had my gown off until I was under, so I am just hoping as few peeps as possible saw my body. Remember, they don't want you to be uncomfortable or feel uncomfortable, so just let them know you want the utmost draping and covering possible.
