I am curiously thinking of getting this. I talked to a ob/gyn the other day and really want one in place for after the surgery to as the best result  for contraception. My mom has one and I kinda heard it was good from her she is using it cause she's in menopause . It seems good I was wondering if its also good for menstrual irregulatiry that us pcos people . I am currently taking desogen for regularity and all though the metformin seems to help alot anyhow with that. The Mirena seems to be a good choice for contraceptoin a well. Was wondering if anyone has one. Also wanted it incase the pill doesn't absorb as well with the rny just as a precuation I am gonna call my doc next week and probably schedule to have it put in..

I have a Mirena IUD and love it...my cycles are very light...almost non-existant now...but I love how the hormones it releases are local to the uterus...nothing floating around in my blood stream.  You will have to have it put in while you're on your period...but it's not that bad.  Good luck!
