does hair on head come back after wls?

i'm bald and sick of it. my dr says that my hair will grow back after i lose weight. i dont believe him. it was luxurious while iw s pregnant. yes, i got pregnant with pcos, ladies!!! hadnt had a period in a year and was shocked to find out i was pregnant! she was born 7-20-06. so, there is hope! has your hair gotten thicker  after you lost weight?  thankyou sarah

I lost some hair immediately after surgery (post op months 3-6) but since then it's come in great.  Unfortunately now after I had my baby I'm loosing hair again (my DD was born 7/31/06!) and a lot of other moms I talk to who had babies around the time I did are loosing hair as well right now.  So maybe it's post partum related? if the hair loss is treated soon caused by the PCOS then you have a chance of it growing back but once the follicle is dead then there is no return.
