Hi Ladies! For those of you who have had RNY I'm just curious if any of your insurance companies have considered Insulin Resistant PCOS a co-morbiditity??

JW, I don't know if my insurance considered my PCOS as a co-morbidity, but my surgeon listed it as one. Good luck in your quest for surgery. Kelli

My insurance consider it as co-morbid.... That is one of my main reasons for getting the surgery and I just found out that I have sleep apnea

I have BCBS w/ the state and they considered it a co-morb, but mostly I would think that all the symptoms of PCOS that you have are considered co-morbs.

it's always good to list as many things that might be considered co-morbids as possible when requesting insurance approval. so list it even if there may be a doubt. mine did consider it.
