I had a similar problem. I had to take 4 birth controls pills a day just to stop it. It was horrible. I was travelling with work while taking these pills. I was ill the entire trip. Imagine this, I am in Switzerland taking the train up to the top of the Materhorn the higher we go the sicker I get. We finally get to the top of the Mountain to the restaurant observatory and I start throwing up. What a mess!!! I burst all the blood vessels in my eyes throwing up at the altitude. I was too weak to even walk into the restaurant, our guide had to get me a bit of food and sit with me. Anyway, the importance of my story was that when I got back home, I went to see the gynecologist and I had fibroids and I had to have a hysterecomy. Plus because I had lost so much blood they wanted to give me blood transfusions. I suggest you ask your doctor to check this. I would go for a year without and then bang it would start and I would pass clots the size of plates. It was absolutely horrible. Perhaps if they catch it early you won't need to have a hysterecomy like me. Take Care, Tammy

Oh goodness. I'm right there with you. I've been bleeding almost non stop for eight weeks. Only in the last two weeks did it get nasty and heavy. Even messed up my clothes and ruined a chair at work (kill me please). I've been taking BC pills, three a day, but as soon as I lower the dose the bleeding comes back. I have an uterus ultrasound scheduled Tuesday, but it sounds like I'll have to get a D&C after all. I hope things have improved for you!! K.

I feel your pain also. I have been bleeding for close to 10 weeks now. I went to the Dr. yesterday. About a month ago he called in some Estrogen for me to take, and that did not help. I am on the DepoPrevera shot so I do not have a period, but that did not stop it either. The Dr. told me to go back on my Metformin on then in 2 weeks start back on the Byetta shots. I stopped taking the Metformin and the Byetta after my RNY because my blood sugar was normal again. The Dr. thinks that maybe I keep bleeding because I stopped them. I (like you) just want my period to stop. I just know that I am really 14 lbs lighter than the scale is saying, it is just giving me a false reading since I have been on my period for so long. ( I really know this is probably not true, but it makes me feel better to think that ) Danice

I completely understand.. I know that Im atleast 5 kgs lighter than my scale says. We will overcome this ... I have started taking Thyrod medications once a day as well as Angelic 1/2 twice a day. Things seem to be slowing down..so I shall see
