POS Surgery

Hello, I am going to have surgery 4-3-06 due to POS. I have had alot of pain and discomfort from the cyst growing. My Doctor told me that he will do this lapiscopically(sp) and he will remove the right ovary. My question is has anyone had this done? Was the surgery very painful? And did it stop the cysts from forming on the remaining ovary? I have dark areas on my skin that I always thought were bruises and I have facial hair that have been removing for years. Also skin tags and of course obesity. It is nice to know that my problems finally have a diagnosis and that it can be looked into. Jessie

I would get a second opinion I also had surgery for the cysts on my ovaries. They didn't remove my ovaries, but they cut wedges out of both. I GOT NO relief from this surgery. They might as well have done nothing. Birth control is supposed to help minimize the cysts I would try an alternative first . Not to scare you , that was just my experience.
