I saw a story about Walter Reed Medical Center and it is a ghetto to put it mildly. The one thing that I think we could about it is to bombard our congressperson/senator with letters stating that this is NOT the way a country treats its injured soldiers.

So maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but what I think you're saying is that you want to see the region stabilized but you're now thinking that maybe military action alone isn't the answer.
