Topic: RE: Anyone seen Fahrenheit 9/11?
I was not there.. The RJ did not report any damage to the hotel that I could find ...
"those people" PAID to hear a performer sing, NOT espouse her personal political beliefs. approx 4,600 people were caused to leave due to what they felt was not what they paid for... They felt she took their money and did not deliver.... hmmmm.... personal responsibility????

Topic: RE: GO BUSH WIN
I felt compelled to add this.
(add your www)sensibleforeignpolicy.net
That's more than 700 scholars and experts in foreign policy that say that Bush has it all WRONG.
Amazing how people in the know can't seem to find anything positive to say about the mess GWB has gotten us into.
(Actually, I'm not amazed at all.)
Topic: Largest budget deficit in history
You know, I'll take a "tax-and-spend" liberal over a "charge-and-spend" conservative any day.
I can't believe the mess we are creating for our children to have to pay for.
(Don't forget to add your "www")openlettertothepresident.com
I know for a fact that one of the signers is a Nobel Prize winner (in Economics).

Linda Ronstadt "caused" people to leave?
You know, when I don't like something, I can get up and leave. And I can do it quietly and peacefully.
It's ridiculous to say that Linda's behavior is the one that needs to be banned from the hotel.
Those people got up, and instead of walking out they misbehaved. They destroyed hotel property and caused a ruckus.
How 'bout a little "personal responsibility"?
Topic: RE: GO BUSH WIN
You feel safer knowing that there are more operating terrorists in Iraq now than there were before Bush invaded?
You feel safer knowing that our U.S. ports are not protected?
You feel safer knowing that if an election were held in Iraq right now the group that would win is the very party that this administration says is "the worst case scenario"?
In this country, we don't vote for first lady. I think Laura Bush is a very nice woman, but I don't base my vote for a candidate on who that candidate is married to.
You feel comfortable voting for a man who hides everything he does?
I don't. Nothing this guy does can stand the light of day, that's why he does it all in secret. He talks about the power of the Presidency, but he's forgetting that he is only entitled to the powers given to him by the people, and people can be powerful unless they are informed.
He lies about the tax cuts. He lied about the Medicare/prescription drug plan. He lied about "Mission Accomplished". He lied about having bad intelligence (he IGNORED any intelligence that didn't support his theory about WMDs). He lies about 9/11 causing the deficit (he raided Social Security to pay for the tax cut--and he raided it in August of 2001, a full month before 9/11).
This is a man that was supposed to bring back honor and integrity to the White House.
I'm embarrassed that we have let him get away with all that we have.
Time for new leadership. Real leadership.
