Yeah, I got a tax rebate....
but then the federal govt. cut aid to states, and services and education have been cut in my state to the point where the local and state taxes have been raised to more than make up for whatever Bush put into my pocket. I figure I'm down about $1000 this year, AND there are less services for EVERYONE.
Enough is enough. Even Bush's own teachers from Harvard Business School say he is ruining the economy with his short-sighted policies.
Wait 'til your kids have to pay for the deficit Bush has wracked up. They'll never be able to afford a house.
Complain about the tax and spend liberals all you want, but there's nothing worse than a charge and spend conservative. Nothing.

Do you really believe this decision belongs in the hands of the government?

I for one feel that the right to choose is paramount and for someone to say to me or another woman, "no you cannot have an abortion because I don't want you to" is wrong.
It is very important that abortion be safe, legal, and yes, rare. As a man, you have NO IDEA what it is like to find yourself unexpectantly pregnant. Situations are so individual that you cannot just throw a blanket statement out there that puts ALL the responsibility on the woman and her "choice" to get pregnant or not. It takes two to tango.
PRO-CHOICE and PROUD of it!!

First of all, American Airlines 587 crash was caused by a pilot error. He overcompensated for turbulents and that caused the crash. Sorry you had to experience the crash so close to your house, but it was pilot error, not shoe bombers or terrorists that brought that plane down.
I really think you need to turn off CBS and Dan Rather and get your info from a more accurate, unbiased, reliable source!
Also, I really find it so hard to believe that Kerry would ever be tough on terror when he ran away in Vietnam, then dogged the true heroes that fought in that war, he voted to pretty much disarm and diminish our military..AND he has voted against every single military action this country has ever taken. As I said before, war sucks.. but sometimes it's gonna happen. I would much, much rather have a strong leader like Bush then a wussy coward than Kerry any day!

Well Kathy,
For the MOST part I prefer a smaller government. I think whenever the government can stay out of people's lives, it should.. which would help explain my reasons for being republican.
However, there are times that we depend on the government for things that we can't do for ourselves. We depend on them to build our roads (I doubt either one of us own a steamroller or huge stockpiles of asphalt) and to provide fire and police protection, and many other things. We also depend on them to protect us from terrorists and those who want to harm us as Americans.
Unfortunately, I know that abortion in some way will probably always be legal. But I rely on my government to limit them as much as possible. Just as we expect our government to protect us from killers and criminals, we should expect the same for the unborn. Let's face it.. Abortion IS MURDER!!!!!!!!

It's not a lack of energy... be honest, you can't think of anything good that Kerry has done in his 20 years as a senator, except make Teddy Kennedy look better (didn't know that was even possible till now!)
Kerry is not a war hero.. to call him that mocks those thousands *****ally were heroes in the wars we have faced. No, hero is not a correct word to describe him... How about TRAITOR?? Yeah, that works!
No one likes war.. I don't, I'm sure most of these people on this site don't and I don't think George Bush does either.. But speaking of BALLS, Our President had the balls to face those terrorists head on without flinching and running away and sticking his head in the sand like your buddy Kerry would if he were president.

You missed the point. He returned with an understanding of war. Something Bush and Cheney will never have. something my dad had after WW II and never wanted my brothers to know.
