At the very least...
While I'm very disappointed to be peeling my Kerry/Edwards stickers off my car and front door, I'm proud to have been part of the most important election I may ever see. Over 120 million people voted, and so many more were involved, interested, and invested in the outcome that I feel like it was fair--and that was imperative to get back after 2000.
Now remember--the Republicans will control Executive, Legislative and probably Judicial branches of government in these next years. Anything they do will be squarely on their shoulders.
Along with privilege comes responsibility. Good luck with that...
Erin,
How are things in Antioch?? I used to live in Antioch (On Bell Road at the Club at Hickory Hollow apartments, to be exact).. I can tell you where I lived, since I don't live there anymore. Then me and my wife moved down to Lavergne for two years, then made a crazy decision to move out here to Utah.
Utah is sure a beautiful state and the people here are wonderful! But I've always loved the south and consider the Nashville area the greatest I've ever lived in. Someday maybe we'll move back. I also miss the mild weather there. Already we've gotten 4 inches of snow this winter here..

Amen to that...and when Bush reinstates the draft, as I'm certain he will, then I hope everyone who voted for him remembers that as their sons, grandsons, nephews and husbands are shipped off to Iraq for Bush's personal vendetta. Ok, had to get that off my chest! Thanks for the reminder that they now have no one else to blame!

I totally agree with you Erin. But I am NOT peeling off my bumper stickers quite yet - I want to let people know I did not vote for this president and in 2 years when things are even worse - with our economy and the war - then who will the Republicans blame???How long can they blame Clinton before they accept responsbility for our troubles...
I am so scared for my sons - I will leave for Canada with them before I will allow them to be drafted and sent to fight a war that has cost us too many innocent lives because of lies and deceit.

I have promised the same thing to my 17-year-old brother. I have been interested in Vancouver and that's where we'd go. I have a great job and love the company with which I work, but I won't have him go to war. I just won't. Thanks ladies for letting me know that we ARE out here.
We'll make it through this just like we've made it through so much. And in 2008--Hillary? Barrack? Maybe they could change the rules and put Bill Jeff back in!
Later,
Erin (representing Tennessee's reasonable 40%)
Sure it does. Ask John McCain. Ask Max Clelland. Two guys who lost elections due to the GOP hate machine.
I don't respect Bush because he's a liar. When he isn't lying, he's hiding everything he does.
I don't respect what he's done for this country. It's a mess. Deficits are high, we've lost civil liberties, we've lost jobs, there are more terrorists in Iraq than there were two years ago.
It's SICK.
Please... name one thing he's done right? Name one thing he's done to earn my respect.
