check out www.realself.com There are a lot of patient reviews in there - of all kinds of doctors, but the majority are plastic surgeons. Make a list of all the plastic surgeons in your area, and then go to their Web sites and see if you can tell if a majority of their work is doing body contouring for massive weight loss patients. And check all the reviews you can find, too. Then narrow it down to 3-5 surgeons and schedule consults with them.
I don't know of anyone off hand who specializes in it in St Louis (but then, I wasn't looking in that area), but make sure the person at minimum does a boatload of them. It's a complicated subspecialty, so you want someone who does a lot of these things, not just three or four times a year.
How is DH? I was wondering because I have the same symptoms
Was it a hernia? Just curious because I have had a few since my gastric BP and lincenberg tummy tuck.

I haven't had plastics yet, but absolutely wish you smooth sailing, a quick recovery, and a fantastic result! Is your surgeon very experienced in body contouring post-massive weight loss? Best of luck to you, and please report back!

Wonder if anyone has positive experience and recommendations regarding plastic surgery near Peterborough Ontario. My Doctor is happy to refer me but does not have any connection to a surgeon he feels comfortable recommending.

I had a panni while still over 100 pounds overweight before a hip replacement surgery. The healing was a nightmare - months with a wound vac because there was still so much fat there. I would advise against it until you are just removing skin.
