I also had surgery at my lowest weight and I wasn't really ever steady there. To be fair, I was at goal for over 6+ months when I had surgery but I just kept on losing. My original goal was 160lbs, then I set it to 145lbs and when I had surgery I was 130lbs that morning (lowest weight was 125). I had very little removed (about 2lbs total). I now sit around 138-140lbs and like myself better with a little weight added and my PS looks better. If I could do it again I would probably try to be less impatient and wait a little longer.
P.S. I'm from Potsdam, NY. I'm familiar with Troy since the University I worked for had a location in Schenectady (Union Graduate College). I live in North Carolina now though.

Thought I'd update again: I had one of two drains removed today. Was TERRIFIED of the pain, but I literally didn't even feel it. Figured I could share that in case anyone else has the same worries about drain removal pain that I did! :)

Thank you!
I'd say I am "uncomfortable" but not in pain. The swelling is a really weird feeling of intense pressure. I have basically no pain or issue with the breast lift, the discomfort is all from the tummy tuck and lipo areas. Where they injected fat into my buttocks is very sore as well.
I will be getting one of the two drains out tomorrow, so that'll be nice (although honestly they don't bother me much).
On Friday, I was feeling good, standing up straight, no pain. So I vacuumed, and went to Target, and went out to dinner, and it was a big huge giant mistake. That evening I was in total agony, ab muscles burning like they were on fire and spasms in my back. Almost took myself to the hospital until I took a Valium and it calmed down a bit. So I'm learning from that and doing next to nothing now and for the foreseeable future.
Dr. Michaels's office staff gave me a big packet of info before surgery, and one of the pages talks about the emotional rollercoaster... and I am RIGHT on track, lol. Lots of random crying moments. I have a hard time relying on other people so that's most of it. It's weird to have to ask for help, I think especially because this was a cosmetic surgery and not a really necessary procedure, so I'm working through guilt on that too.
Hope that info helps!

I used Dr. White at Wilmington Plastic Surgery. He is amazing! We have formed a friendship throughout this journey together. His whole staff has been great! I highly recommend.
My hospital charged $100 to weigh the skin after surgery. Since I was self pay my surgeon advised me not to have it weighed. He said it was about 10 ounces.

Hi Rebecca,
I hope your thigh lift went well and that you're recovering quickly. Can I ask you who your PS is and how your experience with him/her has been? Thanks!

Hey there, I'm only speaking from my personal experience (360 degree lower body lift with vertical flur de lis) so... I had MASSIVE swelling after surgery and couldn't fit into like any pants for a few weeks lol so I wouldn't worry about that. Now that being said, even with the massive swelling, at nearly a month post op I was still down weight. Most people I've noticed don't lose or gain weight after the surgery. Also....15 pounds of swelling? That seems like a lot.
Lastly, I am so sorry to hear about the wound breakdown. I have no experience with this so I can't comment, but I hope everything goes well on Monday and things get taken care of soon!
