Awesome results. It is amazing how quickly your swelling is going down.
Thanks for sharing!! I plan on getting my eyelids done someday.

Wow, Liz! To my uneducated eye you look like you're healing REALLY quickly.
I'm working up the courage to "do something."

Today I look like I'm recovering from being punched (bruising around eyes) and suffering from jaundice (my face is all yellow from resolving swelling and bruising). I've been taking daily pictures (mostly) so I could assess progress and extrapolate to when I'll look mostly normal to others. I feel fine now with the only physical annoyance being that my lids are glued together when I wake up in the morning so I have to soak my eyes with warm water to get them open. I hate the weird things in my hair which are holding my brow in place, but I can pretty much cover them with hair (though it alters my usual style a bit). The stitches on my eyelids come out Thursday and the things in my hair at 3 weeks (so approximately 1/4). I'm hoping to be presentable by Friday when I have to be out in public.
Here are my progress pics (day of surgery, 2 days Post-op, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days):

It's ridiculous, isn't it? I still have tape residue on my thighs from various bandages that were taped to me in the first few days of recovery. ARGH.

Thighs are the worst. It will get better trust me. I had two. I had thought TT was the worse but nope thighs are hard. Rest rest rest is the best advise plus don't get constipated.

So glad you're doing well! Adhesives love me too. Dermabond is supposed to fall off in roughly two weeks, mine lasts for 5-6...
Today is the day I should be able to exercise again. But it's not. Since I'm still healing. Bah humbug. I have begun to question the feasibility of running a half marathon in March, thankfully I don't need to make the decision to downgrade until March!
But I'm doing really well! My wound separations are looking very shallow now and only a few spots are still a little oozy.
I've been able to walk up and down stairs with no problems. I de-surgified the bathroom and the entire house except for the lift recliner I borrowed from a friend - I'm returning it to her on the 13th. I can drive, I can put on underwear and socks all by myself, I can even bandage and garment myself if necessary. I've been cooking and doing laundry too. Woo!
So pretty much, at this point, the only thing I can't do is exercise, and I'm okay with that. For the moment.
I do still have swelling and bruising, plus a bit of glue that refuses to fall off. The glue thing is normal for me, apparently - adhesives REALLY love me.
My previous surgery areas are still doing well too. Some days my arms feel uncomfortable and my abdomen still feels like I've always just finished a bunch of crunches, but those are very minor discomforts. I am SUPER thrilled with everything!

Oh no - please call your surgeon about pain management! You should not be at pain 10!
Do you have someone to help you get up so that you can avoid falling? Do you have a lift recliner? Do you have access to a toilet riser?
Please be safe!!
