I know Patti loves silver jewelry... she wears some beautiful, meaningful gift pieces! Joni lost SO MANY inches that her clothes were HUGE...The swelling seemed minimal compared to the inches lost, so I'd think snug now. Kimonos were VERY helpful and Maxi dresses. HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!

I wore loose dresses after my leg lift - even the idea of trying to pull on pants was a bad one!

Hi Kristin! Again it was so great meeting you and Joni last November. I'm getting ready to go back to Monterrey for my surgeries next week. A quick question: What size yoga pants to bring? The ones that fit now, are snug, or those that are big on me? I'm having the vertical thigh lift among other procedures. My thighs will eventually be smaller but wasn't sure what to do given that there's going to be swelling. Thanks for the info about the exact amount of tipping; I wasn't sure. Also, what types of gifts might Paty like? Best to you and Joni!

Hey everyone! I'm having my last skin removal surgery on Wednesday. I'm nervous and anxious but ready to finally have the extra skin gone. I heal pretty well from surgery, but I am definitely a little scared about this surgery since its MY LEGS! lol I'd love to hear your experience with the medial thigh lift!

Thanks :)

Real Self is a great resource.

Dr. LoMonaco in Houston was my surgeon. He is one of the best in the country and has a lot of experience with bariatric patients.

I didn't just want to look "better", I wanted to look "good". I am 51 years old and my stomach looks as good now as it did when I was in my 20's. I am so grateful for Dr. L and his expertise.

Good luck in your research!

I'm now day 5 post op. Things are going pretty well. My drains are already outputting only about 40mls (that's the measurement right?) per day and I only need to get to 30 to have them pulled. I would never recommend this surgery to someone who wasn't in really good physical shape, because I have needed my toned arms and quads to get myself up and down. The power lift chair has also been really great. My worst pain has been my butt/tailbone and since the narcotics don't seem to help with that, I have just been taking Tylenol and one Valium right before bed to help with sleep.

My tummy is pretty swollen but the first time I saw myself I literally cried I was so happy. Guys, I have never looked like a 'normal' person and now I do! I have a long way to go to get back to where I was physically but even with as painful and difficult as the last few days have been it's also been amazing!

Hi all,

I am 15 yrs post op bp/ds with the awesome Dr Dennis Smith in Atlanta (he is now in Florida). although I lost 200 lbs, I just never really thought about plastics. I lost almost half my hair with wls and was scared to be under anesthesia again for long time. Anyway, I got divorced a few yrs ago and much to my shock, I am actually dating again and I am starting to think I might want to feel better about how I look sleeveless or in shorts. I have a lot of hanging skin on my stomach, thighs, arms and really wanna do something about it now. I live in East TN, but I am willing travel anywhere in the country to get a great doctor with a lot of experience with post wls patients.

Thank you for any any all suggestions. :)

Sara

I love this show. It and my 600lb life are what helped me decide to get healthy.

I hope they do a season 3. But I think I'll be paying you a visit later this year since I'm moving back to Texas.
