It's a big surgery and a big decision not to be taken lightly for sure!

Have you spoken to a plastic surgeon about scar revision? I am sure there are skilled surgeons who could improve your scar, but nothing will remove it completely.

Hi!
I have a scar that is 40mm x 5mm in my face that has lowered my self esteem and quality of life very much. I have tried to read about the scar removal treatments
that are avaiable, but from my understanding the science hasnt developed any way to fully remove scars yet. I know there are laser treatment, medical tatooing,
scar camouflage, surgery, skin transplant available. I guess the only way to completely remove a scar is to put makeup over, but i guess there isnt any magical
treatment like that available, that doesnt disapear from water?
Is there any company that does medical tatooing or scar camouflage that almost fully removes the scar?
Is there any world leading company that does scar removals or a surgeon you could contact for treatment? Country doesnt matter.
Im sorry for my bad english. I hope you could understand what i was saying anyway. And if i have posted this in the wrong forum im very sorry.
Thank you!

Have a safe drive! It will be good to get home and this behind you! Must feel really good!
I planned on staying just shy of 2 weeks, but I feel well enough I'm on my way home today (day 8). I will return in 3-5 weeks for a follow up.

I had a TT, not an LBL. I also did not have access to a recliner, so I got a foam wedge pillow from Amazon to use on the couch and in bed. Great purchase!

Thanks for sharing. I know what you mean about the scary part. I did not consider it until I stumbled nto the plastic surgery and read people like Gwen, NYMom and another person. Inspired me to consider.
how many days did you stay? I figure we make a second trip after my consultation and my husband and girls (16 and 14) can have fun and come back and check on me! I grew up in NY but in White Plains and Cross River (near Katonah). My sister lives in Averill Park which is upstate.
i am glad you are feeling well and have a good trip home!! Congratulations for having it over!!!!
I'm not from D.C. either. I'm actually from upstate NY (about an hour south of Ottawa). I see Dr. M tomorrow morning and then we'll make the 10 hour drive home. I had originally planned to fly home on Saturday but I'm feeling plenty well enough to ride in the car.
I was very scared for this surgery, but it's been SO much easier than I had imagined it would be.
