I googled "night sweats after surgery" and you are totally not alone. Every kind of surgery you can imagine has people who comment about being drenched at night post-surgery. Some noted their surgeons said it's a reaction to the anesthesia... I learn something new every day!
I'm not wearing compression at night anymore and it's still about 20 degrees here, so I'm thinking it's not either of those things!

I remember having horrible night sweats for weeks after my c-sections, but I was never sure if it was from the surgeries and swelling or from the hormonal fluctuations. If you're still experiencing some swelling from the surgery, shedding retained water seems like a plausible explanation. Alternately, could it be any compression garments you're wearing now or temperature changes in your home as spring weather approaches?

Started Optifast on April 21, 2017 at 248lbs through the Ontario Bariatric Network medical program.
The nurse just called me and suggested I try to gently milk the tube in case it was blocked. After some careful milking it worked and stuff came pouring out into the bulb. Feeling much better now!

I think this guy does as well - deducts it if you go with him. This could get pricey if I do 3-5 consults, but then again, I want to talk to several people before I decide. I know they often have different ideas, and I may "click" with one more than the others, too....it's probably worth it to spend the few hundred bucks on consulting fees to find someone you really want to work with.
I'll tell you that PS gives you added incentive to maintain. I'm darned if I'm going to ruin my flat tummy (I never had one as an adult before)! BTW, some surgeons deduct the consulting fee off the surgical cost if you choose them (mine did).

Hi folks
i had LBL yesterday afternoon (not even 24 hrs ago) and just got home a few hrs ago. When I got home my panties we soaked at the front and crotch with blood. Panicked hubby and I searched for the source and discovered my drain tube opening is bleeding.
I already called my surgeon and spoke to him and he said the heprin shot plus the car ride home and excessive movement is the source. He said to call back if the drain bulb isn't collecting anything or if it's sore or my tummy is really bloated.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? And what happened in your situation?
thanks in advance
nikki

You're doing it because you want to and you deserve to be comfortable in your own skin! I think it's hard sometimes for us to justify it because we can make ourselves look so good for everyone else, but what really matters is how we feel about ourselves. Personally, I couldn't stop seeing the skin (and the really saggy breasts!).
