If your skin hangs to your knees then no amount of exercise will help,..... what you would need is a panniculectomy ( apron removable ) should be covered by insurance because it would be considered for medical (mobility) reason. Start by getting refferals from your Family Dr. to see plastic surgeons in your area. Not all surgeon want to work with insurance funded surgeries so do your reseach. Good Luck
Try some massages to tighten your belly skin, also do some exercises like bicycle crunches, leg raises etc.
What can i do about my excess skin on my stomach that hangs down to my knees that makes it hard for me to walk and enjoy life
Hi everyone,
I had a consult with a plastic surgeon regarding having a panniculectomy.
I noticed the dates in this forum are outdated.
Has anyone had one recently? How was recover?
Thanks,

Hi,
Congratulations!
I saw Dr. Simon Talbot at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
I work in the recovery room at this hospital and I do have to say, his patients love him.
He will be doing my panniculectomy on July 15.
Contact the company and ask what they require to approve the surgery. Most of the time, though, you pay the surgeon the difference between the cost of the panni and the tummy tuck. Ask you surgeon's office for advice. Most surgeons have an insurance coordinator that can advise you.
