Awesome. The crotch area will go down soon.

I went by inches. My waist was 4 inches bigger immediately after my lbl. By the end of month one I had lost 3 of the 4 inches. It took about six months to get back down to my pre-op waist measurement (my waist did not get any smaller than it was pre-op).

I'm thinking of going to MX for plastic surgery. Who was your surgeon, what procedures did you have done, and are you happy with your results?

I believe that they will pay for a panniculectomy...I will be paying the difference out of pocket :(

Tammy, I answered you on the RNY forum. Do you think you will get insurance to pay for any of it or not?

Hi Tammy!

I think you'll find that the really good surgeons with lots of experience working with massive weight loss patients have people travel from all over to get their surgeries with them. And most do phone consultations so you don't have to travel to see if someone is a fit for you.

Good for you for trusting your gut when it comes to that other surgeon!

Glad that you got it checked out. Take gentle care of yourself and go to the ER or your PCP if it doesn't get better soon.

Went to urgent care....dr there thinks it a noninfective gastroenteritis and colitis....aka stomach bug. she told me that if i continue to vomit to go to ER.

she wrote on my summary page "due to your recent surgery the one thing i can not rule out is a deeper infection from your surgery."

she took me out of work for the next 2 days. hoping im better by then.....

Topic: Plastic surgeon

Hello. I am currently seeking a plastic surgeon to do a lower body lift. I live in South Dakota and am having a really hard time finding a plastic surgeon near me. I would really love to hear from anyone who has has a lower body lift with a surgeon that they really felt comfortable with and had really good results. I was referred to a plastic surgeon by my bariatric doctor and actually had an appointment scheduled for April 16th, and then I saw a Facebook post yesterday afternoon complete with horrible horrible pictures of a surgery gone very wrong. I am cancelling that appointment today. I am certain that am going to have to travel out of the state and would really appreciate some recommendations from people who have had this surgery or at least a surgery along the same lines as I am looking into. I have lost over 200 pounds and have a lot of skin that needs to be removed.

Thanks in advance for any information.

2.5 weeks post op. Lost another pound of swelling and I am starting to see my abs coming through now that the swelling is reducing! Woohoo!

Only place it is not improving is the crotch ? which is still puffy and painful.
