I decided to go with Dr. Zachary in Chicago. He was my most expensive option, but I like the fact he's been doing these for decades, he specializes in body contouring for massive weight loss patients, and that he does all his surgeries in a hospital (and makes you stay overnight there).
so August 10 is the day. After an afternoon of exhilaration, I was freaked out about it last night ("what am I doing? This is so expensive - do I REALLY need this? Or is this just 'the thing to do'? Why do I want this again?"). Feeling a little better this morning. I suppose it's because it's all suddenly become real to me...
Thanks!! Dr. Miles from Redlands Plastic Surgery.

You looked fine! I look like a compression patchwork quilt with my pants falling down!
I do remember feeling that way too. Also, my PS told me that if I didn't myself long enough to heal before I started working out that I would continue to swell and prolong my recovery.
Hey that's not fair! I posted a picture of me in my compression gear...lol! I am here to say that the gear is HOT though!

Thanks Kelly! It is just so hard because I'm not in any real pain and want to get moving outside in the nice weather, but no go! The threat of a seroma is keeping me compliant though!

Thanks Liz! It is an amazing change already. Is it too soon to buy a bikini?!! Never thought I'd say that!

I know that it's warped, but I love Sibley and have had such a great experience there for my hysterectomy and PS. My wife has also had two hospitalizations plus multiple ER visits. It isn't convenient to get to from anywhere, but they do what they do right!

Well, the compression gear ain't pretty and neither are the incisions, but I think it will help pre-op folks to have a better idea of what they are in for and what the drains look like.
