I totally hear you, but I think it's mostly for a "dramatizing" reality tv effect. They sound somewhat scripted-they all say the same things, do the same things to show how "uncomfortable" they are, and wear ridiculous clothing that is meant to just show the skin off (which is silly because you can find cute, regular clothing to cover it...people don't really know I have it unless I wear short sleeves, otherwise my skin is very well hidden).
I agree, I hope these people aren't as truly disgusted with themselves as they make themselves sound... but I really don't think they are.

They took 9lbs of fat/skin - no lipo. Lots of inches. Down 1-2 sizes comfortably but I was wearing pants that were too tight before.

I had a stinging pain with my drain that stayed the longest - it was due to the stitch holding the drain in place tugging. Making sure the bulb was clipped high enough so not being a weight on the stitch did help some.

Hi folks,
I am 8 days postop from an extended mastopexy and extended abdominoplasty and am healing well. The PS put in 4 drains, L & R breast and L & R abdomen. The L breast came out at 3 days and the R breast and ab at 6 days. He wants to leave the last drain in until day 13 even though there isn't much drainage unless I am on my feet alot. I'm happy to be safe and prevent aromas!
Since I moved from sleeping in my recliner back into bed 2 days ago, I am waking with aching to sharp pain at the site of my remaining L ab drain. I usually fall asleep curled on my left side (preop) so it may be that I am turning that way in my sleep. Is it going to injure the site? The skin is pink but not infected, draining, bleeding, etc. just sore.
Any thoughts? Should I be more concerned and call my doctor?
Thanks!
