PS Recommendations

Thanks for your advice. I will definitely take it, you and DCGirl sound like the experts!
I also had surgery at my lowest weight and I wasn't really ever steady there. To be fair, I was at goal for over 6+ months when I had surgery but I just kept on losing. My original goal was 160lbs, then I set it to 145lbs and when I had surgery I was 130lbs that morning (lowest weight was 125). I had very little removed (about 2lbs total). I now sit around 138-140lbs and like myself better with a little weight added and my PS looks better. If I could do it again I would probably try to be less impatient and wait a little longer.
P.S. I'm from Potsdam, NY. I'm familiar with Troy since the University I worked for had a location in Schenectady (Union Graduate College). I live in North Carolina now though.

If you're following your surgeon-recommended post op diet and exercising you probably will lose quite a bit past your goal weight.
I would wait too until the two year honeymoon period was over . A lot of peoples weight resettles in different places ... skin firms up and your results will be far more beautiful if you diligently exercised and developed your muscles and now your surgeon just has to redrape and attach the skin to show your new definition off .
Also liposuction and loose skin removal ( which removes empty fat cells too and REALLY helps prevent the hormonal changes ( excess estrogen put out by " hungry" empty fat cells trying to refill themselves ) that lead to hunger cravings and regain will be much more effective at your lowest weight.
I used Francesco Sauceda in Monterrey Mexico and I was EXTREMELY pleased with all my results. ( armlift, LBL, thigh lift, Brazilian Butt lift , TT, liposuction of flanks and tummy, and fu-pa) he even liposucked my jiggly knee fat giving me great legs !

Lots of great info, thanks a lot for taking the time to write. Another member mentioned Dr. Sauceda as well. Do you have a post about your experience with him and his team? Would you mind answering some questions?
1) Were you weary of surgery in Mexico? If so, what put you at ease about traveling?
2) Did you go alone? Would you feel comfortable going alone (I will be)?
3) Is he affiliated with or recommend a recovery house/facility?
Thanks again for all this info. I didn't realize that the "empty" fat cells affected hormones! About to do some research about that.

1) Were you weary of surgery in Mexico? If so, what put you at ease about traveling?
You are picked up at the airport and transported to the hotel. Dr S meets you for your markup that night, picks you up in the morning for your surgery and you stay at the clini****il you can stay by yourself back at the hotel
2) Did you go alone? Would you feel comfortable going alone (I will be)?
I had no issues. I was 59.5 and everything is taken care of for you.
3) Is he affiliated with or recommend a recovery house/facility?
No. You stay at the Hampton Inn. There is an HEB think super walmart just out the back of the hotel and down a few stores at the mall. Paty, Dr Saucada's nurse comes daily to help you shower and get back into your compression garments. The hotel has been serving his patients for over 10 years.

Love my Body by Sauceda
No Dr Sauceda is affiliated with a full service totally modern hospital .
He assigned a nurse to me post op and she cane to the hotel twice a day to change dressings and help me bathe - I felt so good after 3 days I flew home !
it was a little difficult to manage the post op compression garments and washing them every day at home but my fiancé helped a lot also with showering and washing hair and we got through it together ... he actually said it was kind of hot ... like having a life size inflatable doll :0
Hi there. Chances are pretty good that it was me that posted regarding Stephen Kovach. I had lots of work done by him in 2012 through 2014. He is with Penn Plastic Surgery at the hospital of the university of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I loved both him and his work. He also does lots of reconstruction work due to trauma and cancer patients. He also did some work on my husband. You can check him out on you tube - he has several programs at Penn that he participates in. Very skilled surgeon with a great bedside manner. I was surprised at how reasonable his rates were given that it was Penn.
Just dumb luck that I logged into hear today - I haven't been on here in probably a year. I guess it was meant to be.
Good luck - feel free to ask any questions.
