Curious- for those who have had skin surgery-
I doubt mine weighed 1lb. I waited until I'd been in maintenance for, I think, 2 years so it really was just skin and no fat. Lipo was included in the price, but wasnt necessary because there was no fat!
Your target weight should be 140lbs. You'll weigh more than that post surgery with fluid retention, swelling etc.
I would not use a surgeon willing to remove skin before you reach and maintain at goal weight

Skin doesn't weigh very much. Unless you get a lot of lipo, you're probably not going to notice much difference on the scale. Some people do get a slight metabolism boost the first few weeks after surgery, but any loss usually comes back. And Kim's right, some people actually gain the first few weeks because of fluid retention and swelling. Either way, you're likely to settle out at about the same weight after all is said and done. Especially if you're talking just skin.
I will also say skin does not weigh much. I think mine removed during plastics weighed 3 pounds (and this was after losing 200 pounds post-RNY).
Many of us see a dip on the scale after swelling has subsided but then we seem to balance out at what we were pre-plastics.
If your weight goal is 140, you should aim to be 140 before plastics.

I lost a total of about 160lbs and my skin weighed 2.4lbs between my stomach/back/butt and my breasts. I actually weigh more now than I did post skin removal because I seriously restricted to be in the "best shape" for surgery and then lost some more post op not from the skin but from lack of appetite. I weigh about 10lbs more than when I went in for surgery.
If you have fat filled skin it will weigh more, but I think the most I've ever seen from following extreme cases on social media is about 10-15lbs.

The skin from my LBL & arm procedure was 9lbs. Not sure about when they did my thighs, don't think they ever said. I think healing from surgery promotes some weight loss as well as your body is going thru so much to heal. I was about 175 or so and after all my plastics (2 surgeries for LBL, Arms, MTL & BL w/ aug) i ended up being 150 after all was said and done.
I would agree with the previous posters who suggest you set your weight loss goal as your ultimate goal. For one thing, no one knows how much your skin is going to weigh, it could be 1, 2, or 3 pounds (which is the most common amounts) or it could be 12 pounds like me 0.0 but NO ONE not even my surgeon pre op thought there was a chance in hell I would have 12 pounds of skin removed. It also depends on why kind of surgery you get, more skin will be removed with a Lower Body Lift than a Tummy Tuck. Additionally, if you get down to your ultimate goal, have skin removal surgery, are one of the unusual ones that have 10 pounds of skin removed, and then decide that your weight is to low for you, you can always gain a little back and that's a hell of a lot easier than loosing more.
Best of luck! and hope it helps.

Lower Body Lift with Dr. Carmina Cardenas - 5/3/19
I've had a tummy tuck and breast lift. Then six months later I had breast implants and a brachioplasty. In two weeks, I am scheduled for a thigh lift. I lost a total of one pound of tissue during my two surgeries, despite setting a record for skin removed from arms (which is something I am strangely proud of). I wouldn't place much hope on changing your weight very much.
Let me know if you have any questions! I am a seasoned veteran by now.

Hi Rebecca,
I hope your thigh lift went well and that you're recovering quickly. Can I ask you who your PS is and how your experience with him/her has been? Thanks!
