The Big Day is Finally Here
Tomorrow, Wednesday June 11th, I finally go in for surgery! I have to be at Hackensack Hospital at 6:30 AM, and Dr. Capella will start at 7:30 AM. I am having a LBL, BL, FLANKPLASTY, MASTOPEXY, and BRACHIOPLASTY.
I figured it was time to finally throw up some "before" pics. I am already excited to update this thread sometime in the next coming weeks with my "afters".
I am as prepared as I think I can be. Today I am keeping myself busy, including a final visit to the gym before I have to say goodbye for 2 months :(
See you on the other side!

You will do great! I have to echo what Laura said - set an alarm those first few nights for every four hours and have your pain meds on a step stool or small table next to your bed/recliner right where your hand is, next to a water and a small snack so you can wake up, easily pick up the food and drink, and take your pill. My "omg I will die moment" (I only had one!) was the first night at home (night 2) when my pain pills wore off and I woke up thinking "I cannot breathe due to abdominal pain oh my god I will die". Clearly, I didn't die, and as long as I kept up the pills for those first days, I was absolutely great. You may have moments of regret but the end result is worth it! Good luck!
How are you doing? I'm guessing you're still probably pretty doped up but please let us know!

Hey guys!! I made it!
Dr. Capella and Scott did a great job. I was super comfortable and happy with them through this whole process.
I am still in the hospital. I was supposed to leave today, but I really couldn't move or operate and was still in too much pain.
Dr Capella came to see me, and said everything looks good. They removed a whopping 12 pounds!
I know this is a ****ty picture, but it's the best I have for now. My legs are already remarkably smaller! Thanks for all your support guys and I'll check in again soon.
