Hip pain under binder?
Hi! I am 8 days out from my torsoplasty, and will be asking my dr this same question when I see him again tomorrow :)
I am wearing a binder. I have a belt line incision that goes over my hips. I prefer to sleep on my side, which puts pressure on the incision (and, dr prefers I side sleep). My left hip is getting so sore to the touch from the binder (and looks a little bruised and swollen). Any suggestions on how to make this feel better?

I had to put some maxi pads in some strategic places to reduce pressure/rubbing from the binder near my hips, especially since my binder wanted to ride up and would rub my incisions and drain holes on my sides.

I do lots of ice packs. I don't think anything works better for me. I keep them in tube socks so they don't freeze hurt my skin. I had a long/T inclusion inner thigh lift and have a huge long one I got in the hospital that freezes almost solid. I sleep with every night.
I ended up periodically icing yesterday, and shifting my foam pad over a bit to cover that spot, and it seems a little better today :)
I also started walking a little less last night- walking seems to make it worse.

In the end, nothing really fixed the pain except- 1) not laying on that side for several days 2) waiting.
yesterday was my first day with almost no hip pain. Yay! It was so nice.
