Three weeks to go until my final reconstructive surgery! Of course life is throwing lots of lemons at me right now, but I'm determined that this will happen.

Last week I did my pre-op clearance with my PCP and got my blood work taken care of. Next week I've got my pre-op with my surgeon and I get to pay for everything. Woo!

Good luck with the upcoming surgery. Maybe better to face the lemons now than post-op during recovery? Get all that unpleasant stuff taken care of now so recovery goes smoothly. I hope it does all resolve quickly and well for you.

I have my UBL/Brachioplasty on Thursday and am in total prep mode. Basically, keeping super busy so I don't think too much about it as I'm still unsure about the recovery and trying to get from inert to mobile during initial recovery. But, we shall figure it out. Besides that, I'm all prepped with post-op supplies, food and recovery aids.

Peace and patience to you.

Surgery: April 30, 2014: HW: 288 SW: 250 Achieved Goal 149 lbs: April 8, 2015 CW: 158 lbs (working on losing 65 lb regain as of June 1, 2021. Weight was at 215 lbs). Fighting every darn day!

Thanks! Sadly the lemons are out of my control. So I'm just doing my best to take care of the things that are under my control.

Recovery is always the biggest challenge for me with these surgeries. I'm a HUGE planner, but you can't really plan for recovery because you have no idea what YOUR specific recovery will be like. ARGH.
