Compression Gear?

Hello all! I am coming up on 11 weeks post TT and BL/BA. I have been cleared for Spanx type gear at my last follow-up but it feels...weird not to have on some sort of compression on. I typically wear a corset-type tank under my clothes during the day, and still put on my abdominal binder for sleep. It feels weird not to have anything on!

My question to you guys is - How long until you stopped wearing compression gear? When did you get cleared and is there a risk of wearing it all the time?

It's strange because part of the whole reason I got the TT was so I wouldn't have to hide my body with shapers but I now wear them more than ever because now I'm trying to accentuate my curves, not minimize them! Am I the only one? :P

Even now I wear compression gear off and on - primarily in the form of compression briefs for the LBL and sometimes arm sleeves for the brachioplasty. I'm cleared to sleep without a bra at this point as well, but so far I haven't braved it. :)

Some days are just swollen feelings days and on those days I like the compression.

I felt exactly the same way. I think I wore compression wear for at least 6 months before I made myself wean off them!!

I was in my bra/arm garment for 4 months, and at least that for my body and I wore it nightly for almost 2 years. I may have missed a few nights, but swell hell at night, so wore the garment and looked good the next day. When I went back for my UBL, only wore both for 6 weeks. Haven't had them back on since.

I did feel better with the garment on for those 4 months, it could have been longer. :)

I'm 15 weeks post op and don't wear it regularly. My swelling has gone down significantly. I do occasionally wear a waist cincher or a pair of spanks, if I feel like I'm swelling or that I just need some compression, but that's only like once or twice a week now.

I wore a Spanx for a long time, especially when exercising. My Doc said to get one that went from mid thigh to under my bust line. I found one at Macy's I liked- it was a Macy's exclusive style.... I also had some less heavy duty long line shaper panties for lack of a better word from Soma and flexees that I transitioned with.

I wore the arm sleeves and leg compression longer because they are active parts of body and likely to swell - more like 6 months.

I hated compression garments so I only wore them for as long as the doc said I had too - then, I was out. 6-8 weeks.

I seem to be fine. :)
