Insurance approval
Does the amount of weight you lose have any bearing on helping with getting approved. I have lost over 300# and I have a large amount of overhanging skin. I have started taking pictures of the rashes and sores. My appointment with the plastic surgeon is in November. I had the sleeve in march of 2015 and the loop in July of 2016.
excellent congrats on your weight loss....
there are peer reviewed journals that state the the higher the bmi drop (since 300 lbs would be different for a 6'7" man than a 5'0" female) the greater the skin laxity (one journal was specific for RNY and DS patients)---so yes to your question
If you have a specific question for me, PM me or I will not see it, as I don't check responses on the forums and don't have anything forwarded to my email.
It didn't for me. My employer's plan has a total exclusion on reconstructive surgery for weight loss.
