Ask Robinson to go down in price. Negotiation is always possible. But in the scheme of things, over your lifetime, 3000 is not that much.

I went with the best surgeon in my area. I did pay more but it was worth it. I have seen too many bad pictures of people post-plastics to risk it. I wanted to look "great" not just "better than I did".

Sounds like you already made up your mind. Ultimately you need to feel comfortable that your voice is being heard and it doesn't seem like Kuy is doing that. If this is how doctors act, pre-op, when they're still trying to get your business, I'd be concerned with the response post-op.

I think getting a third consult is a good idea, and also talk to Robinson regarding price.

As far as doctors who specialize in massive weight loss, I understand they are more familiar with our skin laxity, etc. but I wouldn't let it be a deal-breaker. I had consults with some of the often cited doctors on here who do, and ultimately ended up getting my procedures done with one who isn't "known" for that work. I couldn't be happier with my results at 7 weeks post-op.

I am undecided about implants. The surgeons I ultimately selected said he prefers not to do the implant with reconstruction anyway but instead will do them later if I want them. he said takes 20 minutes to do this.

I made my decision on the surgeon based on the reference I called and on line reviews/photos of their work.

As for seeing photos in the office or on line, keep in mind that you will only see their best work and there is really no way to predict your results advance from those pictures.

The second Doc is right on not doing tummy tuck and thighs together.

Honestly don't like either Doc's breast position- first if you were trying sizers at your first consult that's a little odd. And while at some point you should try them on, some discretion does need to be left to the surgeon once he gets in there because he won't actually know how much of your own tissue he has to work with. IMHO

I did 5 consuls and decided it was important to go with someone who specializes in massive weight loss. All Surgeons will say they do it, but I always say the quantity and the quality of our skin is different.
