Tomorrow is the Day!
Welp. The time has come. I report in to my ambulatory clinic tomorrow at 6am for my surgery. I am getting a tummy tuck, lipo of flanks, breast lift, and breast augmentation. I spoke with both the OR nurse and the Doctor performing my anesthesia.
I was advised that the surgery would be roughly 5 hours (7am to 12pm) and then I'd spend two hours in recovery. If everything is OK, then home I go! I am thinking of wearing a sundress (goes over head) because all my button-downs are pretty heavy and it's like 94 degrees in NYC. Does that seem like it would work?
I have taken some before pictures and already shared them on Real Self, but hope to also share them with you all, as well. I'm just trying to focus on the future and having a flat belly and perky, full breasts again. It's helping calm my nerves somewhat. I'm just always afraid of anesthesia.
Anyway, please wish me luck and I'll update soon! Thank you all for sharing your experiences! They have been such a big help!

Yay! Super exciting.
I think your dress idea sounds good, you're not having arm work so you shouldn't have a problem pulling it on over your head!
Good luck - it'll go great.

Thank you, all! Surgery went really well and I was released about two hours later. I am now home and doing OK! The staff was impressed with how well I was recovering. But of course, as soon as I was out of the OR I discovered that I got my period. Ugh!!!
I just have paranoia about my drains and am concerned about the blood I see on the gauze around them, but believe this is totally fine being that I'm like 4 hours post-op. I'm also collecting fluid a lot but also think that's probably fine due to everything being so fresh (I hit like 90ccs on one of my drains after they were emptied like 2 hours ago).
so that's about it for now! Keeping upbeat knowing every day will be better than the day before.

Great work!!!
One night I got caught in the drain tubes and pulled them out at about two weeks. One was ready to come out, but the other could have used a few more days.
I have since read where people sewed pockets into a few t-shirts to hold the drains and tubes. I also see special shirts made with detachable pockets for the drains. If your drains are to be in for awhile, I might look into these, if you don't already have something. I had tubes from my thighs wrapping up and the bulbs clipped onto my bra. This is the first time I ever had a drain and would have done something if I thought I could pull them out.
