Follow up question if anyone sees it - I don't currently have a shower stall in my house, just a bathtub. Will I be able to step into the tub to shower after the medial thigh lift?

I stayed in a hotel the first week and it had a walk in shower. When I came home I had no problem stepping into tub. I think you will be ok.

Thanks! This is reassuring since I'd like to not have "finally get the other shower fixed" be a part of the cost of my surgeries ;)

For Me..... it wasn't bad at all. Medial Thigh lift..... incision on inseam from groin to mid thigh. I'm lucky that I had small legs and the only skin/fat combo left was upper inner thighs. Worth it so much; got so tired of wearing skirt bottom bathing suits to try and hide the skin rolls that were left after 100 lbs + weight loss.

As for recovery; it was OK, pain meds first day only, regular toilette seat, took the stairs to my bedroom one at a time..... slowly!!!! And my surgeon had told me to expect a small opening because as he stated "it's almost impossible not to happen, because lets face it we need to move in our daily lives." (ended up with roughly a 1/4" opening on each leg at groin junction. Drains were out in less than a week and I was walking a beach on holidays 2 1/2 months later.

2 1/2 years later..... a thin white scar that can only be seen when I have my legs open.

Good Luck,

Nancy :)
