Things are good, overall. The two small areas I had dressings on are all closed up now, which is nice. My incisions all look good, but they have definitely widened in areas, so while I don't really care about scars, I am keeping an eye on them in hopes they don't get too big. I'm wearing paper tape on them most of the time to 1) protect them from the sun and 2) help with scar prevention as per my surgeon.

I can do anything I want, but there is still some tightness/pulling in my armpits at the fullest range of my extension when reaching up. But, like most things, if I warm up properly that resolves quickly. I'm currently starting my training to do chin-ups! My exercise physiologist says they're the best thing to really build all the shoulder and arm muscles I want to build.

I've been back at my hip-hop fit classes for a couple weeks now and moving feels SO GOOD! Seriously, I'd almost forgotten how awesome it is to sweat it out. Also awesome: not having to even think about putting a cardigan on over my sleeveless dress because it's 32 degrees (90F) out. I've already got a good start on my shoulder freckles!

The thing which continually blows my mind: it's been 9 weeks and my pits still don't stink! Intellectually, I understand the logic, but I keep sticking my nose in my armpit expecting two months of stank to suddenly pour out of them... but it isn't! Having no sweat glands is the single best unexpected perk of this whole thing! Sorry Degree, you're getting no more of my money! *deodorant stick drop*

Super quick reply and I'll reply more later - since I'm supposed to be out the door already!

The armpit thing!! I know, it's crazy! I have like 20 hairs between my two armpits and no smell at all. Those hairs are getting long, but I'm using scar tape to prevent chaffing with bra/arm sleeves, so it's not like anyone can see them right now and the idea of shaving them when my scar is still slightly raised seems bad.

But the lack of smell?! WOW. I love it! I've had to donate my deodorant to my partner - thankfully I used a scent free one so he's fine finishing up my supply :P
