Finally, a post-op update (LBL + Arm Lift with Dr. Michaels)
I agree! I had a tickle in my throat for a couple of days in the week after my TT and I thought I would die when I coughed. I had to have cough drops, water and a pillow for my belly on the ready. I'd sound like I was strangling when trying to suppress the cough (got DH and DS quite nervous).

Every day is a little better.
I want to wear this compression gear forever though :)

Congrats! I remember my TT, I felt like a hunchback FOREVER. I thought I would never be able to stand up straight again! I can't believe the doc gave you valium and oxy together, that's a super deadly combo that the FDA has a hissy fit about. But you made it, and thats what's most important. I can't imagine having lipo on the thighs at the same time. OUCHIE! Youre a champ! Can't wait to see the pix!
Feel well!
Congratulations Gwen! So happy to hear that you're starting to feel somewhat normal. It does take time to heal and yes, it gotta be one of the hardest surgeries to recuperate from. I'm six months post op and I still have to hold my belly when I sneeze or cough and I still find it a little difficult to scoot myself up from the bed. The good news is, we do recover and its amazing. You're still probably very swollen, which will go down in time. Praying for a speedy recovery and try not to over do it. You're going to be SO HAPPPY with the results.
Beds are the worst. Sheesh. I wish I had a grab bar next to mine.

Yes! I slept in my antigravity chair for the first week but then I really really needed to be in a bed. I think as I withdrew from the oxy (which is real, even with low dosages) I needed to move and wiggle and just could not get comfortable.

Yay, Gwen! You are back in the land of the living :) It only gets better from here on out. I didn't have anything done to my legs, since my LBL really helped hike up my outer thighs and my inner thighs, I just have to deal with, but my breasts didn't hurt a bit, so hopefully that will be your experience too! This will be your worst recovery, from what everyone says (and having gone through the abdominal muscle tightening myself). Aren't his scars amazing? SO thin! I see pics of those "pie crusts" incisions and stitching that some doctors do and I am just thrilled with Dr. Michaels' work. I am so glad you are recovering well!
