Approved by ins for pannilectomy! Which plastic surgeon did you go to? Please help, where to...
I don't know any Chicago area surgeons, but make sure you find someone who specializes in plastic surgery after massive weight loss. Our skin and needs are different than those who have never been super morbidly obese.
Also, see if you can upgrade (and pay out of pocket) for the lower body lift instead of just the insurance covered panniculectomy. Chances are, you'll be happier with the results if you can swing it.

I absolutely agree with what Gwen said... find someone who specializes in people with massive weight loss. They all say they will do it, but have them show you pictures of patients that look like you... I always say the quality and the quantity of our skin is different,
If it was approved by insurance I would check, you may need to go to one of their participating doctors-
Good Luck

May I ask how you approached your insurance company about the procedure? I am getting ready to start the process. I have been told I can get approval without help from a surgeon. I'm just curious and your journey. Thank you.
