Even better! I have the World's Ugliest Dress! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MFC33ZO/

Since I'm getting my arms done at the same time, I figured sleeveless was the way to go, so I got a couple of these to wear while I'm healing. Lovely, eh? :P

For me and my arms, the first week and a half, I needed the baggiest front-closing hoodies and shirts I could find. I could awkwardly manoeuvre into a loose, stretchy t-shirt by the end of two weeks, but I required help or I'd get stuck half-way in/out. I still need assistance with some tops at three weeks, depending on how my pain/mobility is that particular day.

I also need help getting my compression garment on. There is no way I'd be able to put it on by myself.

I'm not even going to attempt to do anything with sleeves for the first two weeks. Seems not worth it!

I have scheduled the household so I'll have someone home all the time for the first two weeks. After that, I'll have to make sure I schedule my shower times for when someone is home to help de- and re-garment me. :)

Honestly, it's not the sleeves which are the problem. It's getting your arms through the armholes. If I had it to do over, I'd just wear those stretchy strapless summer dresses for two weeks (example: https://www.amazon.ca/sheering-boobtube-bandeau-strapless-sl eeveless/dp/B01FPGG8N6).

I wish I could find something like that which zipped/buttoned up the front. I don't want to need to step into anything. Or pull anything over my head. :/

Take what you want, but I suggest NOT taking anything that you would miss if it gets lost or stolen. You will be walking up the hallway as much as you can to avoid blood clots and deeply sleeping. I took a stack of magazines and my cell phone - I suggest leaving the Kindle at home. You can surf using your cell phone and only have one expensive item to keep track of is better. I took an old pair of glasses, because glasses and dental work get left on trays and pitched. I left the magazines and the flowers I was given at the hospital.

Less is better. I wore the same clothes home - just had a clean pair of undies. Some one has to carry all this stuff when you are in surgery.

Thankfully my Kindle is old, cheap, and my comfort blanket. So it'll be good to have. Worst case I'll get to upgrade to a new one. Woo!

I'll have someone with me the entire time, so I'm not worried about anything going missing. But I appreciate the heads up. Also a good idea to take my old glasses - I would NOT have thought of that.
