Just a few questions..

Hi everyone,

I am currently 14 months post op from mt RNY gastric bypass and have started researching plastic surgery (arm lift and breast lift/augmentation to be exact) and was wondering how long everyone else waited before getting their surgery done.

I was also wondering if there were any surgeons that you would recommend in the Toronto, Canada area. I plan on doing consults with at least 3, and just curious who to see, or who to stay away from..

I had gastric bypass 4 yrs ago this month and have had an arm lift and tummy tuck . First sugery the arm lift in march 2015 and panniculectomy with upgrade in sept 2015. I went to Dr. Kreidstein in Scarborough. He is fantastic and I have had no complications. I highly recommend him. Good luck.

what did you guys pay for your plastic surgery? (I know this can vary a lot depending on the patient). I just remembered that after my husband has his lasik eye surgery several years ago, my veterinarian told me one of her patients had it done in Canada, because even with factoring in the travel, it was still cheaper than having it done in the US. I wonder if that's true of PS, too? I'm a little leery of medical tourism in general, but I'd definitely go to Canada!

I'm from the US and I'm going to Bogota Columbia. Dr Raphael Gomez. Many Canadians head to Columbia. Excellent doctors and prices. Recovery house 12 days with full meals transport nurses garments etc. Check out REALSELF.COM. I've been on there for years. My next surgery is June 17. TT/BA/LIFT and full body lipo. You can find doctors from all over the world. Check the reviews good,bad, and the ugly. My US plastics left a lot to be desired. I had some good and some awful experiences until I became a realself creeper..lol

Dr. Nandagopal and his team at USculpt. He has office in Scarborough and clinic in Vaughan. He works with wls patients and ohip. You want to make sure whoever you choose works with weight loss patients. I've had all my contouring done by him and his team. They have a fb page where you can see pictures. There is also a docotr Chivers that I have heard about in Toronto.

I can't help you with drs in your area, but I had the same PS combo you are looking into. I had it at 18 monhts post WLS and started investigating at about a year out. I did 3 consults and recommend anyone looking into plastics to do the same.

I had the arm lift and breast lift (fat transfer from saddle bag thighs - no implants).

Could not be happier with body work.

I am going to have my bat wings and boobs done in October. I have had a local consult but am leaning towards going to Mexico...I think I just want to get away and be alone for a week!
