PS Consult yesterday, one more coming up in a week
Hah! Your story sounds oddly familiar. I just rolled over my 401k from my previous employer to my new one, and then initiated the process of taking a loan against myself to cover the cost of plastics. It's the only way I could currently do it without having to delay a few years.
Hubby was not keep on the idea...at all, and I needed him to be, not only for the support, but also my 401k provider wouldn't allow me to take out a loan without his notarized signature, since we're married.
Once I explained to him how it all worked, that there are no penalties, and that I would continue to accrue on the entire lump sum, even with a loan, he was on-board. Or, as on-board as he could be being that he's really not into the idea of me pursuing plastics, at all.
