Day 2 Post-Op: TT and Facelift

I had TT and mini facelift two days ago. Stayed in the hospital overnight and came home yesterday.  I am already off of opioids because they were making me nauseous even with Zofran.  Most of the pain is in my face which is terribly swollen and I have had a huge headache.  The belly isn't bad comparatively, though I do have to be in a lawn chair position, have to walk all hunched over, and have to be careful getting up and down.

I did talk briefly about doing an LBL, but decided on TT only - I'm glad I did.

I totally agree with the pain from a face lift.  I reported AGONY and people did not believe me.  You were smart to stay in hosp.  I did not and ******g surgeon sent with home, in pain, with NO post op pain killers.  I had to wait hours, in NJ rush-hour traffi****il I was able to get home and get some punny little pecosets, which is all he had prescriibed for me.  May the ******g surgeon rot in hell for what he did to me.  My pain was OUT OF CONTROL.   I was in AGAONY for 4 days and I did not look at myself in the mirror during that time, because if my face hurts this much, my face must look like hamburger and I did not want that image seared in my brain along with the pain.  THere was no neutral position where the pain was minimized - it was constant AGONY for 4 days. Then it was only a 10 out of 10 for another 2 days before the punny percosets finally kicked in.

On the otherhand, My armlift surgeon, Dr Joseph Michaels, has a better regime for pain managemtn and I was not in pain - yes, when I moved, I could tell I had surgery, but with the pain meds, I was not in constant pain.  I was happy with his work.
