Confused, Lost on Lower Body Lift scheduled for 02/13
You are too funny, "The hard way." Seriously, remember that all the research says that only 3-5% of people who lost weight "The hard way." as you think, keep if off. Compared with 75% of the WLSers who keep off at least 50 pounds long term.
Putting that aside, I would make sure that you are in the 3-5% of people who can keep if off long term without WLS. There is no reason to get the surgery and put the weight back on. Especially, if you are financing the plastics yourself. You will be unhappy and in debt.
The major plastic surgery procedures are major surgeries and have difficult recoveries - much more difficult that the post-op recovery from WLS.
Be clear on the post-op recovery plan. Do you have an elec recliner?
I got an upper body - arms and breasts lift - and I am glad that I did. Very happy. It was a 8 hour procedure. But I still wear compression sleeves, 6 months later. I did not push things and had no complications, but many people have complications like inscions that do not heal quickly, I was prepared to be very careful to make sure I got good results.
Make sure you are able to do eerything possible to get a good outcome. If you are not, then wait. There is no reason to pay thousands of dollars and have a crappy result.

I also lost over 200lbs. If I had not had the 360 lower body lift, I would never have felt like I had accomplished my goal... I would have always looked at myself and felt like I needed to lose more weight...even though it was only skin- 4lbs of it, it looked like 30-40lbs....
