Hi, I had the same procedures too with Dr. Capella January 25th 2016.

I've documented my experience in detail here with pictures.

I am truly happy I had the surgeries but not happy with my scars at the moment. It is difficult to know how much of the unsightliness has to do with my personal healing/body makeup. I have very pronounced keloid scars in most of the areas. I guess it is helpful to know that this could be a persons experience--so a cautionary tale. That said, I am still glad I had the surgery.

One other anomaly about my experience is that on the day of my surgery Scott was out sick. Apparently in their 8+ years of working together, this was the first time. If I had it to do again, I would have canceled and rescheduled. On my day, that wasn't an option. Some of my difficult scar areas (mainly the backside) started out looking very rough, so I cannot imagine how it could have healed well/better. I wonder who stitched which area? Dr. C had to rely on the help of whichever resident was there that day in order to accomplish all he did in the same amount of time he would usually do with Scott.

So that's my very specific and unusual story. I am in no way saying I wouldn't still recommend Dr. C and the  team highly. He stresses along the way as you are healing, that if at any point after a year the scars are not satisfactory he will revise. So I am 10 months out and looking forward to making them better in time. Your trust is well placed.

All the best to you!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I'm sorry you've had to deal with that...I guess in the world of any kind of surgery anything can happen.  I hope you have success with the revision.
