Hackensack Hospital and One Care ??? Calling any patients who use Doc Capella and your...

I'm having my surgery on the 8th of Sept and have read some negative comments on Hackensack Hospital and One Care ( i think that is what he called it).  Yes the comments where from 2013,14, and some early 2015. i'd like to know what to expect and what i will need in order for my stay to be stressful  

I had a LBL,BL, and arm lift with Dr Capella in November of '15..

you couldn't be in better hands!!

IDK what your having but since your going to a rehab facility 

instead of staying in the hospital overnite, I'm assuming it's just one of what I had...

i also read negitive comments about care one, but to tell you the truth, even though I 

was in the hospital, no one really bothered with me, maybe just looked in

(I was VERY out of it after surgery)

Dr.C came in at the crack of dawn to Look me over and discharge..

then a nurse came in to help me to the toilet..and home I went...

so, I wouldn't suspect you'll get anything more than what I got, 

and you'll be fine!!!

im having a LBL, arm lift, breast lifted and BL also.  I will be in the hospital 1 day with the option to go to One Care the next which I'm opting to do that.

did you bring anything with you like cough drops, protein shakes, gatorade, etc?

I had nothing but the clothes I wore there, and  I wore them back home..

I was sooo out of it from anesthesia, that I only had moments of wakefulness...

I didn't go to after care, but I'll tell you, I had absolutely NO appetite, and it was 

a chore for me just to drink ( something I have no issues with)..

they will have food, water etc at care one, if you want to bring cough drops, 

but I didn't have an episodes of coughing till much later thank God..

cause with the muscle tightening that hurts like a B**ch!

And how are you doing now?

I'm doing fantastic now, 

but let me warn you..

Its a long recovery road..

I could do NOTHING for myself the first week..

It slowly gets better, but as for myself I had remnants 

of anestisia in my system for about a month...

you'll move very slowly and gingerly for quite a while also..

I'm 9 months out and still have tightness on my lower right 

side of my stomach from the muscle tightening  I notice 

when lowering myself or getting up from a flat position

also, the scars will take some time to fade, still have mine (no biggie)

but everything was well worth it!!

I can't even remember what I looked like before..

I just had the UBL and the best investment was the electrical recliner.  If you do not have one - check on Craig's list and GET one this week.  It made all the difference.
