Before and Recent (5 month update)
Having a blah day, despite a good summer overall.
For the most part it's been great... Lots of outside, more comfortable, even in this heat! 2 piece suits! Just turned 53!
Struggling with having a regular schedule of exercise because of travel, vacation etc..
Thought it would be a good day to look at pictures to see how far I've come.
A quick recap; Had original roux en y in 2001 at 5'6" 260-265? lbs. Regained (long story I've shared here) and had revision RNY 10/13 (surgeon had intended a sleeve, but the remaining interior anatomy would not make it feasible).
Had an abdominal (incisional) hernia from where my "open" RNY scar was since early '00's, which opened the door to plastics. Insurance covered the hernia repair 12/14, so for an additional out of pocket, I opted for a TT too, since there was a vertical scar anyway.
That surgery left me with dog ears at my hips. Instead of a revision with the original surgeon, I had a consult with Dr. Capella and made an entirely new plan. He proposed an LBL, arm lift, breast lift, (connected with flankplasty). I had that surgery 1/16.
Here is a picture showing the whole story on one page. On the far right is me at the most recent- 5 months since last surgery.
Hope this helps someone :-)

What a transformation! You look fantastic! I do agree that Dr. Capella does an amazing job and I cannot wait to complete the rest of plastics surgery. I was given an unrealistic weight of 150 as well. I am 5'5" and currently 165. Capella was the only surgeon to tell me not to lose weight. I asked him about when we do the breast lift if he could do a fat transfer to make them fuller. He said to me where is going to get the fat?
All of the skin he took off from the LBL was skin - no fat. He told me if it was fat it would have weighed more. He didn't do any liposuction. I have the OR report. I just thought I still was FAT, but I am thankful for this surgery because psychologically it has been a positive change for me.
