2 weeks post LBL pictures
Yes, the left side is the night before my LBL. I had so much extra skin that sat around my middle that I might as well have not even lost weight. I went from a size 12 to a size 8 overnight. I also agree that you should get consults now. The worst they could tell you is to wait a few months and try to lose a bit. I got my consults in February and scheduled out to the end of June. It was a little uncomfortable and I made sure that bring my husband with me. They do expect it to get naked and they pinch and prod you all over. It was definitely worth the discomfortime, though.
That's awesome that you went down in size. My size stayed the same, but I am still thankful to be rid of the skin and would do it again in a heartbeat.

I think the main reason I went down in size is because I had so much weight hanging around my hips. While I can wear a size 8 they're tighter than I would like because my thighs are still very large. Most of that is skin as well but for some reason I also hold all my remaining fat there. It's really hard to lose!
That is amazing!! A 12 to an 8 overnight....
I am at my goal weight, a healthy BMI, and way below my surgeon's goal weight for me. I just have always been pear shaped, and no matter what I do, there seems to be fat on my thighs that wont go away. Or I see it as fat....but have been told it might be skin.
You may want to get a PS consult (find a free one) even if you are not ready for PS. It took awhile to understand what is reasonably possible - you may get 1000% improvement but not perfection. They can tell you if you have fat or just empty skin. I had lipo and fat transfer to bresats as part of UBL. I was 133 when I had the consult and they had to make sure I had enough fat left in my saddlebag thighs for a good result of the breast lift. Never could I imagine not having enough fat in my saddlebags as a concern. What a hoot. Of course, I had enough to make me a B cup, which is all I wanted.
My thighs looked great the night of surgery, but then they swelled. (Or the pain meds gave me rose colored glasses.) My thighs are still swollen (10 days pot op) so I am happy to hear from others that is par for the course - what my dr told me also. And that they will go down in week 3-4, the bruising is already getting better, but they are still hard. Ice is still my friend.
Recovery is difficult and I am grateful for my electric recliner. I make everyone who visits take a spin. One said she wished they had one for her mother who needed it during recovery from cancer, but unfortunately her mother passed away a few years ago. Even though I could have survived the UBL without the recliner, because I had lipo on my thighs and they are sore, it was hard to get in and out of bed - sides and back of things very tender. So, elec recliner has been my go to place to relax and sleep. I cannot imagine doing the LBL and trying to get in and out of bed those first few days and weeks.

Wow! Your results look so fantastic! My tummy area looks very similar to your before picture so this gives me hope that I can one day have a smooth, flat tummy! I was worried since I feel like I have a lot of residual fat left under my saggy skin so they'd want me to really try and reduce that.
