2 weeks post LBL pictures

I'm just a little over two weeks out from my lower body lift. I figured I would post my current results and pictures. I know we're all different and it's nice to see how the surgeries turn out for different people as well as how recoveries are different. I'll first start out saying that I am over the moon at my results so far. I think my surgeon was a pure artist and did an amazing job and I am SO happy that I chose him. I had over 15 pounds of tissue removed and have lost another 5 pounds as the swelling is reduced. All four of my drains have been removed. at two weeks out I'm up and continuing with life as normal. I just took my kids on a six hour trip to the zoo yesterday. I was sore the next morning but fine during the trip itself. My skin is still very sore and sensitive. Touching it feels like it would if I had a bad sunburn. I do still have swelling around my incision but it has gone down a great deal. Most of my pain comes at night when I lay in the same position for a long period of time. I am already off of narcotic pain killers and just take tylenol when needed. I plan to have a second surgery for breasts and arms done in october and a third for my inner thighs done in December. My LBL was performed by Dr. Gavin Dry in Bellevue, WA. My first choice surgeon came in at an estimate that was $20k higher for all three surgeries and I'm actually SO glad I didn't choose him because he was insistent that there was no way to get my stomach flat without doing the vertical incision as well. Obviously he was wrong.

Wow you look great... and at 2 weeks you are still very swollen. My swelling went down a lot around week 3... and I have a pic from one month out that at the time I thought - that was it...but the selling continued to subside for 3 months a little at a time... I had LBL on feb 29th, arms and breasts May 2nd and have my thighs coming up in a week and a half... quite a journey. Good Luck!

Yes, I'm still VERY swollen. Especially around the lower front incision. It's really hard and tender in that area. Strangely enough the most pain I had was in my outer thighs where I had lipo. Apparently I woke up from anesthesia saying how much my legs hurt.

Awesome results. Good for you!! I thought I was going to need the vertical incision, too, but my surgeon got my stomach flat without it. I'll admit I am vain and if I had had it, I might have my 25 inch waist back (like I had in my 20's when I was the same weight) but c'est la vie.

You look incredible.  I will be posting pictures of my lower body lift later today.  I cannot believe how great your belly button looks.  I also was stern about the vertical incision.  I already had a vertical incision from the open DS surgery.  I still have a lot of swelling in my upper body - above my belly button.

Wow, what amazing results!!  How exciting for you!  Is the left picture right before your LBL?

I am in the stage where I keep meaning to make consultation appointments, then second guess myself and have nightmares that the Plastic surgeon will say I have to lose like 50 more lbs in order to have skin removal surgery.  ugh

You should definitely get consults now. I started with my arms because they bugged me the most, then saved up for my lbl/bl. Make a list of your priorities and talk to surgeons about what you want done.
