Here are my abs from LBL done on June 30.  My question is did any of you have weird swelling around the belly button?  When I lay down it is flat, but I am hoping that this will resolve once the swelling has gone done.  I started noticing less swelling and I lost 4 pounds this week and I am hoping its fluid because I did not change my eating habits.

I did not. My swelling was uniform, meaning I looked somewhat bloated, but it was all over, not in a particular spot. I took my measurements immediately post-op. My waist was up 4 inches but by the end of the first month I had lost 3 of the 4 inches. It took another few months to lose the last inch.

I hope your swelling goes down soon!!

Thanks.  I thought about measuring, but decided to get on the scale.  I may end up measuring today.  But this one spot I am going to show my doctor today.  I get the drains out and I will be one happy girl.

that sounds like a good plan.  My saddlebag thighs were lipoed and they looked slim day1. AShrtly after they are swollen - like I was 5 - 10 pounds heavier - all bruising and swelling and will go away over time, but it is just uniform smooth swelling no specific areas of bulges.

When you tap on one side does it create a wave? If so fluid. It takes time for swelling to go down. It can go up and down for months

Well ladies - drains are out!   I could not be more happy.  Dr. Capella examined everything today.  All the incision line looks great.  He said I have a lot of swelling and a long way to go before we figure out what I will end up with.  Ok so I am impatient.  I asked him if I can go for a walk around town - he said yes.  Can I hike - absolutely, Can I go kayaking - no way.  I am active girl and and I will start increasing my activity slowly.

I did take measurements today.  So let's see how the swelling will go down.  Thank you.

Swelling is going down and there is an improvement in the belly button.  Still swollen but not as much.  I am down 7 pounds and I am already seeing a change in the measuring tape.  My best thing I have been doing is the ice packs and I am pretty diligent on that during the day.
