Day 10 update- Plastic Surgery 5/2
So On 5/2 I had my breasts and arms done by Dr. Joseph Michaels- DC Area. I am from NY (Obviously) and will just say he is worth the trip. This was surgery #2, I had Lower Body Lift and Hernia repair on 2/29. It has been quite a journey.
This surgery was surprisingly 10 1/2 hours. He booked the OR for 8, expected it to take 7, but it ended up taking 10 1/2. No Complications, but as he said 'Lots of excess skin just takes time'. The before and after pic speak for themselves. day of surgery, and 2 days later at his office.
People always wonder about how much the excess skin will weigh. The skin removed from my 2 arms and breasts weighed one pound. One pound that is it. Dr. M said it was only one pound but 'impressive' in volume. He did not end up doing liposuction because he said 'it was all skin'... The skin from my LBL was 4 1/2 lbs. Not a lot when you consider the dramatic transformation that removal of skin created.
Even though this was a longer surgery than the first, I definitely bounced back quicker. I still get pain, but it is more of achy irritating pain, not sharp agonizing pain. I went shopping twice for short periods with my girlfriend who was in DC with me the day after surgery.
When I got home, I of course weighed myself the next morning and was up 10lbs from the day of surgery. While I knew this could happen it was shocking. It did come right off again in 4 days, but it was difficult to look at that scale.
I have more pics from my surgeries but don't know how to make them PG rated for OH... when I figure out how I will post them.

Thanks Grim, While I think I do have a high tolerance for pain and had some good medication, and a good friend making sure I was taking them.... Part of the reason I chose Dr. Michaels is because when I read people's stories his patients seemed to seemed to recover really well...
