Arm lift and Breast lift Booked - any words of wisdom welcomed
I had a full tummy tuck on April 15th and my recovery has been great. All of your suggestions and comments were greatly appreciate.
I'm booked to have my Arm lift and Breast lift in June. I'll be in the hospital overnight.
Any words of wisdom in regards to prep, recovery, or general suggestions would be a great help.
Thank you
The overnight stay in hosp where pain can be managed better seems like a real great thing - once is gets under control I think you will be OK - plus you know how the tummytuck went.
I bought a 10-pack of hand towels that I could roll up and make into little pillows to fit around the drains and inscicions and made me more comfortable. I had face/neck work done and had to sleep elevated. If you have to sleep elevated - I needed a lazyboy - I slouched down too much in bed, even with a ton of pillows and wedges. I also set my outdoor chaiselounge in the house to give me another seating option. Best wishes!
Are you staying in the states, or going abroad?

That's where I live. I originally looked outside the country (Mexico and US), but with the $ exchange it wasn't worth it. After many consults, I decided on Dr. W. Andrade, (Newmarket) and I'm very happy with my TT results. He'll be performing my arm lift and breast lift. Unfortunately, he doesn't specialize in Face, so I'll be starting a new search for that.... although after reading a recent post on a members facelift experience ... it kind of freaked me out.
I had arms, breast lift and thigh lipo as day surgery. Slept in bed with lots of pillows to keeps arms elevated. Tt much worse as far as pain goes. Had more nerve type pain in arm pits andaround elbow. Was to wear sports bra post op but know way was i going to be able to get it on. Bought front closing bra from make me heal that also had closure on shoulder.
I am about 11 days out from my arms and breasts being done. I think the most pain has been in my underarms because there is no way to not move them and irritate them a little. Kind of had two suture lines that rubbed against each other, one on the arm and one on the side of the breast. I didn't have any drains. 2 things helped- he had given me a front closing bra to wear. I wore a soft cotton camisole under it against my skin, and then the bra on top. Second, after about a week I put silicone scar tape Scar tape from Amazon
On the section of my underarm so it had some protection. It worked great.
I had no trouble washing my own hair, move slow and be careful not to overstretch.

Thank you for sharing your recovery --- you're relieving a lot of anxiety. It sounds like you're doing well.
These are great suggestions. I'm definitely getting the scar tape.
I was at my surgeons the other day so he could check out my TT and while I was there he showed me the all in one bra and arm garment he's ordering me --- front closure, full arm and coverage to the waist. I asked where he was going to put the IV and he said they sometimes put it in the foot (if they feel its too cumbersome in the hand). Where did they put your IV?
