Feeling more myself
Well, I did it. I had a tummy tuck with muscle tightening and a breast lift, Thursday, April 28th.
I am feeling more myself today. Moving around slow, but on my own.
I remember waking up in recovery, feeling my tummy and crying. It is finally gone!
Pain has been real but manageable.
My doctor but two drains in my breasts and two in my tummy. Now, I am down to one in my tummy. Over all, the drains have been the most annoying part of it all.
It is true that this is not for sissies!
So very glad you're feeling like yourself again. It's a giant step to take and I hope to do the same some time next year. Stay strong and may your healing be speedy and gentle!

Yes I found the drains to be the most annoying part. I am glad I only had 2. Glad you are feeling better.

Five weeks post-op today! I have been released from all restrictions, other than to wait to do extreme workouts until I am 3 months out.
I am back to work without any issues. I still get a bit swollen but minimally. Even wore jeans to work so for me, I feel so called "back to normal".
Each doctor is different with how long you should wear your compression garment/bra and/or binders. Mine says 2 to 3 months. How about the rest of you? I am curious what other doctors say about this.
Also, I am happy to answer any questions about my experience with surgery so ask away, since I don't know what else post that might be of benefit to you.
