Need advice on rhinoplasty surgery?
My younger sister who lives in Toronto is considering rhinoplasty surgery. She got a nasal hump on her nose and need to remove it. But she is worried as she has asthma since her childhood. For the past 1 year, she didn't have any asthma problem and she is wondering if she can get rhinoplasty surgery? She is planning to consult Dr. Oakley Smith in her locality and asked my opinion about her getting the nose surgery. I don't know much about this surgery, so I told her to talk with someone who knows about this. She has not yet scheduled an appointment with the surgeon, so I was wondering if anyone here has any opinion regarding this? Thanks for your time!!
It shouldn't be contradiction for rhinoplasty if your sister doesn't have problems with asthma (the disease is in a remission). Dr. Oakley Smith is a surgeon? I think she should consult asthma specialist first. The surgeon may want his/her opinion too.
