Too soon for breast reduction?

I'm 8 months post-op RNY, have stalled for about a month at the same weight. I seem to have lost my weight from top down skipping breasts. They are softer but still same cup size, ddd! Band size shrank but not the cups. I've been having lots of upper back/neck pain. Have to see chiropractor several times a month to help with the pain. Is it too early to consider breast reduction? I've gone from a 44 DDD to a 40, now almost 38.

It is early. You want to be near goal and stable for at least 6 months. Unfortunately the boobs and butt are the first to go. I would hate to see you go through a lift now then have to redo. Use this time to research your surgeon. If it takes time to get in then you can always make your appointment.

I shrank in Band size as well and not cup size for a long time.... We can't chose where and when we lose. I started at a 46DDD. Around Thanksgiving I bought bras that were a 38DDD... I had been that size for awhile, and then all of a sudden (and I hadn't lost much more weight at that point..)around New Years.... I just shrank. Now I am a 36C... it was so weird. Seemed like it happened overnight, right before I hit goal, around 18 months out....

I would go for a good bra fitting to make sure you have one with proper support and wait on plastics until you have reached your goal.

Can you post more info about yourself - are you close to your goal wt?  I would think that if you have the reduction, and then lose a bunch more weight - you may think that you are too small.

In the meantime, I agree with Laura  -  get a good bra fitting if you haven't had one in the last 10 pounds.

Thanks ladies your input is great! I will hold off on the reduction for now. Hopefully they will shrink as I get closer to goal. I was 316 day of surgery, today's 204 my goal is 170. Only 34 to go!

I would actually haveto say that yes, it is still too early. Your body could still be in the adjustment period so hold on to it
